Why:                In his January 8th budget proposal, Governor Schwarzenegger attempts to address California’s $19.9                billion deficit by dismantling services that are essential to the health and survival of API families  coping with the economic downturn.  The governor fails to offer revenue-raising solutions that  would protect the state’s most vulnerable residents and instead proposes to eliminate children’s health services and basic aid to vulnerable seniors.
