Wednesday, 01. 28. 2009
Public benefit programs dramatically reduce the severity of poverty for the low-income and working poor. Unfortunately, current federal laws prevent many immigrant families from securing assistance and services designed to help low income families achieve economic stability and mobility. California, however, has realized that an effective anti-poverty strategy cannot exclude immigrants and their families. The Immigrant Rights Project works to insure equal access to quality public health care and social services for limited English proficient and low-income API immigrant communities.
